NY Rising proposes new Shandaken town hall complex

As the local New York Rising Committee discusses how to spend the $3 million from New York State earmarked for flood resiliency in Shandaken, a new project has been proposed for the committee’s priority list. Town supervisor Rob Stanley suggested rebuilding the town hall amidst a complex of town buildings on a roughly 30-acre parcel of land near the Phoenicia Diner on Route 28, east of the hamlet of Phoenicia.
