For a great day of celebrating the tastes, sounds and artistry of the Hudson Valley and the hamlet of Highland, come to the Highland HudsonFest on Sunday, October 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., an event to be held at the Hudson Valley Rail Trail entrance at 75 Haviland Road. There, from under a festival tent, the sounds from 92.1 Lite FM, WRWD and Country 107.3 radio stations will emanate, setting the tone of a casual, fun community day on the Rail Trail. Showcasing the hamlet and Valley’s contributions to “the good life” will be a gathering of merchants, farms, vineyards, restaurants, artists and more that make this community so special.

Artisans and craftspeople will be on hand, like Butterfield’s Pottery, Carli Bruno’s “Glass Things,” Felt It, Draped in Jewelry, Tickled Pink Knits and the Quilt Crossing. Wine-tasting will be offered by the Cereghino Smith Winery, Glory Farms and Winery, Shamrock Wine and Liquor and the Whitecliff Winery. Food treats from Bella’s Biscotti, Elias Catering Company, Meredith’s Breads, Pulp Sushi, Vigneto Café Highland and many others will be available to purchase. Add to this list a beer garden, a farm market, lots of kids’ activities and a day in the sunshine on the Rail Trail, and you’ve got Sunday set!

Local non-profit and community service organizations will also be present to disseminate information about what’s available to citizens in the region. For a complete list of vendors and participants, visit www.hudsonfest.com.

HudsonFest is the creation of the Town of Lloyd Events Committee and made possible by generous volunteers, sponsors and merchants of Highland, the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and the region. For more information see www.hudsonvalleyrailtrail.net.
