Classical guitarist and composer David Temple will perform an afternoon set of solo classical guitar at the Center for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck on December 26 at 3 p.m. The repertoire for the day will be focused on Temple’s Winter Stillness (In Flight), his most recent recording, which was put to tape in the Church of the Messiah in Rhinebeck. He will also render unique readings of various nuggets from the classical holiday canon, including “Amazing Grace,” “The Swan” and Prelude in C by J. S. Bach.
Tickets for “Winter Stillness (In Flight)” are $20 for adults and $18 for children and seniors. Tickets are available online at www.centerforperformingarts.org or through the box office at (845) 876-3080. Box-office hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sundays. The box office will be closed December 23 through 25 and will reopen on the 26th.
