Gray skies didn’t put a damper at all on a rosy victory for Kingston High’s girls varsity lacrosse team in the semi-final round of the Section 9 tournament at Dietz on Monday evening. Kingston in a whirlwind defeated Monroe-Woodbury 18-2. First-seed Kingston on Wednesday will face three-seed Minisink Valley in the Section 9 Finals at Dietz Stadium in Kingston.

In Monday’s game the Tigers offense continuously attacked the Crusaders’ goal, scoring nine points by the end of the first period. The Tigers defense held its opponent to only one score per half.
