Some remembered Old Timers’ Day from long ago, but the bed race was an innovation. All agreed the day was another example of Saugerties’ festive spirit and ability to organize big family events. Given what else is going on in the world right now, Chamber of Commerce President Mike Campbell said that an event which looks back on a simpler and gentler era would appeal to all people who love Saugerties.
