Work by Jo Gangemi on display at the Bakery

The Bakery in New Paltz presents photographs by Jo Gangemi through September 11. Gangemi, who lives in Rosendale and New York City, finds inspiration in close-up views of debris along the seashore. The artist calls these “still lifes.” Over the years and at various beach locations, she stumbles upon natural arrangements she finds striking. Without tampering with her subject, Gangemi finds a point of view and shoots the photograph. This show is Gangemi’s first solo exhibition. For more information, call 255-8840 or go to www.ilovethebakery.com.
